This course has its share of good points and bad points which net out in the end, leaving an average miniature golf. The course is well laid out and winds its way around the grounds, meshing with the flowing water. The course has very creative signs for each of the holes, keeping with the nautical/pirate theme of the course. It offers complimentary bug spray and nine of the holes are handicapped accessible (these holes are played twice to get the full 18). The course also features a decent sized pirate ship towards the end, but sadly it is pink and made of concrete which takes away from the coolness of it when you’re up close and playing the hole that resides on the ship.
This leads us into the bad points of the course. The carpets were worn in some areas and a few
near the water had some extensive water damage.
Many of the holes lacked any distinctive starting area. The one multi-tiered hole (which is 4 levels
long, a first for us) seems to be designed so that if you hit it in the hole on
the top level it will travel to the bottom of the level in one shot. Unfortunately, that doesn’t always happen as
the ball can get stuck in some ruts that obviously weren’t included in the
original design of the hole. One final
note (which doesn’t really reflect anything on the course itself, but we just
felt we had to make it): the entire staff was wearing Yankees T-shirts. They obviously didn’t get the memo that in
