This course is somewhat unique in that the holes are designed to look like real golf holes. Various textures and colors of astro-turf are used to create the illusion of sand pits and rough spots and it is really quite effective. The course also uses numbered flags in each hole which can be removed and there is a very tricky water hazard on one hole (which I sadly encountered). The most creative hole is one where you actually have to hit the ball into the water and it is carried down stream and dumped out further down the hole.
The holes are deceptively challenging and no one on my four player team made par (and we did have some experienced players with us).
The only drawback to the course is its proximity to the road and the resulting traffic noise but being as it is Lewiston, ME the traffic is not terribly heavy and all in all the course makes for a fun afternoon outing.
